Bureau of Reclamation, Trinity River Restoration Program
Year Constructed:
2015
Approx. Contract Value:
$1,100,000
As a grading subcontractor to Falcon Builders & Developers Inc., Anderson Dragline performed clearing, excavation, embankment, and grading to construct restoration of fisheries habitat along the Trinity River near Douglas City. The project included realigning the Trinity River by excavating a new channel approximately 700 feet long within the right-bank floodplain. The river was then diverted into the new channel to allow construction of a permanent embankment in the previous alignment. Excavation of side channels and bank lowering provided riverine enhancements. All work was completed while continuous water quality monitoring was performed by Falcon to ensure compliance with turbidity requirements.
